Grammar and Usage Handouts

Many native English speakers have studied grammar at its basic levels, but the grammar “skills”
they have are often based on intuition. Intuition can only get you so far, though. Ensuring that
your sentences are correct, however, will boost your credibility and enhance the reading
experience for the reader. Here are some resources as well as examples for some of the most
common grammar issues we see in the RWC.

Are you ready to talk to one of our consultants about grammar? If so, consider these questions as you prepare for a consultation:

  1. What are the grammar principles I have the most difficulty with?
  2. Have I read my paper out loud, slowly, to identify odd wording, verboseness, or other odd things?
  3. Are there any specific sections in my writing that I want to focus on first?
